First Day
oick! I have no idea what I'm getting into! I'm creating this for the sole purpose of joining a "strikke-along" on Julie Theaker's blog, Samurai Knitter. I've been enjoying her blog for a while; it's so much more than about knitting.
As I am not nearly as accomplished a knitter, not to mention writer, as Julie, I am filled with trepidation about both the blogging and the knitting! We'll see...
I've chosen a mitten pattern--Safe Return Mittens-- (Robin Hansen, designer) out of an old issue of Piecework, described as "moderately challenging." the designer knit hers using Rauma Strikkegarn wool, in shades of blues, white and light gray, and has a pattern of curling waves "inspired by the Baltic Sea." I don't know yet if a) I can find the exact yarn, and b) I can afford it!
Have no idea what more to write. Ah well, it's dinner time...
